Please people.
(Only professional chefs are able to create such impressive fires.) (It's black pepper lamb chop.)
I wish I wish I wish... ( Thanks a lot, Brandon. For helping me to take this beautiful picture.)
Bloggy: Haha. Why?
Weiming: Because today is my first time cooking scramble egg and lamb chop!
Bloggy: Oh my god! That's so cool can.
20th February 2007 at about 10pm plus, Weiming was abandoned by his Mum. His Mum didn't bother about him anymore and couldn't care less. His Mum went to play mahjong and left him all alone in his house. He was very sad. So at night, he decided to cook his own food.
Firstly, was the scramble egg. I heard from my best-est best friend, Vanessa Chng Xian Na, that she's great in cooking, so I 'qin3 jiao4' her how to cook that. She's a really very nice person and imparted her secret recipe to me.

12.) Den you heat the oil le
13.) Pour in the mixture
14.) Must stir it at the time
15.) Till its cook kkz
16.) Soy sauce or pepper can be added later
It's really very easy and simple to make with only 16 long steps to follow.
My first try was quite a failure. The pot caught fire. I didn't even have the chance to fry the egg.
Then became 'cao4 da4'. Got to wash and cook again.
Then my second try was better. 'Tian1 wu2 jue3 ren2 zhi1 lu4', 'tie3 bang4 ke2 yi3 mo2 cheng2 zhen4' 'ji1 dan4 ke2 yi3 zai4 zhu3'.
It's a new receipt because my house has ran out of fresh milk so I used multi-grain milk. Nevertheless, it still tasted nice. Yummy!
Next was the lamb chop. It was my first time as well. Luckily for Men's Health magazine that I managed to cook a high-class-professional-expert-healthy-yummy-delicious-terrific-fantastic-superb-nice lamb chop! It's not as easy as you all might think.
First you need to marinade okay. It's for the flavourings. I bet all of you don’t know that. Ha!
[ Acids - "Acids break down the muscle fibres and gives you a tender, moister piece of meat," says Tyler Florence, author of Tyler's Ultimate: Brilliant Simple Food to Make Any Time. Expand your horizons with different vinegars: wine, sherry, or apple cider. Citrus juice, wine and yoghurt also do the trick.
Role players These flavour builders add depth and character to a marinade. Oliver oil, Dijon mustard, honey, fresh ginger (now I know why Ah Ma's chicken wings taste so heavenly), chipotle peppers, soy sauce, and other give your meat and fish an identity.
ACCENTS Fresh or dried herbs impart subtle notes, while assertive spices like cayenne and curry powder can shape an entire flavor profile. But beware of salt in your marinades. "Early salting creates osmosis, which pulls important moisture from your food," says Florence. ] above from Men's Health's March 2007 Issue.
I don't know why, but there was a lot of smoke when I cooked. Then I needed to open all the windows and switch on all fans. Like caught fire like that.
Although it looked a tiny-whiny-small-little-bit insightful, it tasted very very very X999 nice! The meat was tender and juicy and it just made you feel like you were flying, drifting and floating when you chewed (sorry Hui Jue) it. I forced my Mum to try my lamb chop Mum insisted on trying my delicious and yummy lamb chop. She said that it taste VERY nice. Of course, it tastes nice, my Mum. Thanks a lot, Mum. Sis didn't want to try. I really felt sad for her.
Seriously from the bottom of my kind and benevolent and healthy heart, I think that I can cook better than the hawker centre near my house. Hur!
I cooked noodles afterwards. I think that I've improved tremendously.
I cleaned the things and mopped the floor after everything was done. I feel arrogant now. Arrgh!
A super big gigantic enormous fly flew into my Sis' room just now. I wanted to kill it. However, after much investigation, I found out that it was actually just a small beetle. I trapped it using a container and dragged it all the way to the living room. Sis commented that I've become braver. I feel so proud! And and and before that I killed a cricket with my paper puncher. That was the second time I did that. It has become a vicious cycle.
Even if it makes me sound gay-ish...
Or confused people about my straightness...
I love everyone! Especially Brandon Chua Wei Wen, Goh Weida and Tay Hui Jue!!!
On the first of February 2007, when I reached school, I was welcomed by a Birthday Present! Oh my God!!! Totally unexpected. Because no one was talking about Birthday except myself who kept trying to hint other people about it. Thanks a lot to Tay Hui Jue, Emily Wong Min Jie, Fan Jia Xin, Lai Sihua and Lau Ai Hui for the present. I really like them very much.
I didn't open the present in front of them because integrity told me not to. And it was rude. However, Emotional Quotient (EQ) told me that I should open it up. Because it's the highest respect to give to someone by opening up the present in front of them. Sorry, if it sounded crap-ish. The struggle between EQ and integrity put me in a difficult position. I didn't open it up because I'm a moral person and I remembered about Mum telling me not to open up the Hong Paos in front of people when I was young.
Right after the Principles of Accounting (PAcc) Paper, Brandon zoomed off to God-knows-where. He said that he needed to see some teacher. So Weida told me to wait for him to finish then we go out and eat. Hui Jue was always a busy person and right after papers was usually his consultation period which people could ask him questions (adapted from handsome Weida). That son of a smart guy.
We waited for sometime before going off. I seriously from the bottom of my kind and benevolent and healthy heart did not know what was waiting for me ahead.
Then to my most surprise-est surprise, my classmates were waiting for me there. They were inside the container thingy. What's more? There was a cake! A fattening, high in calories chocolate cake!!!
At that moment, I was seriously very terribly truly touched. I really really didn't expect that. I was lost for words. There was a Birthday Song some more. I so wanted to cry at that moment la. Oh my, I felt so fortunate! Amen.
Thanks to Brandon Chua Wei Wen, Goh Weida, Tay Hui Jue, Ang Li Fang, Candy Hao Yun, Emily Wong Min Jie, Fan Jia Xin, Lai Sihua, Lau Slayer Ai Hui, Lim Si Min, Ng Sing Ying, See Pei Jing and Tan Wan Lian for being there, for singing the Birthday Song and for eating the cake!
The cake was bought by Brandon, that son of a rich guy. He actually went all the way to don't-know-where to buy the cake for me la. Thanks a lot, Bro.
Next was waiting session for Brandon. He was at the School of Business the Fourth Floor... Which room we were all not too sure.
During that time, a lot of topics were discussed. And I found out the reasons for my present. Because my face condition isn't very good. And my face is oily. Clank... Clank clank... That simple sentence stabbed right through my brittle and kind heart. By the way, the presents are an Acne Cleansing Foam, Grapefruit Seed Extract (Deep Tonic), Grapefruit Seed Extract (Oil Control Lotion) and the biggest of all, an Economy Pack Comex Facial Cotton! But, it's really thoughtful of them. Because I really really like them very much from the bottom of my kind and benevolent and healthy heart. I like them so much so that I can't bear to use them. Thanks a lot, Tay Hui Jue, Emily Wong Min Jie, Fan Jia Xin, Lai Sihua and Lau Slayer Ai Hui for the present.
After some time, Brandon finally decided to come back happily. He told us that we needed to do Voluntary Work during the holidays.
We went to eat at Waruku at Marina Square. In order to show my gratitude to them, I treated them!!! Weiming is just so kind as always. A million thanks to Xu Weiming!!! Only, Brandon Chua Wei Wen, Goh Weida, Tay Hui Jue, Ang Li Fang, Emily Wong Min Jie and Lai Sihua were there though. Nevertheless, we enjoyed ourselves.
Next was shopping for a while before saying goodbye to Ang Li Fang, Emily Wong Min Jie and Lai Sihua and heading to Market Place for a bottle of Champagne. Thanks to Brandon Chua Wei Wen, Goh Weida and Tay Hui Jue again for buying the Champagne.
I wasn't aware that they were planning to go my house during that time. However, it was really really great to have them around to celebrate my Birthday.
Brandon Chua Wei Wen, Goh Weida and Tay Hui Jue went to my house right after buying the Champagne. Because according to Weida, we should run back if not the wine would not be cold.
We played Playstation and computer and we listened to songs before going down to the playground downstairs at about 11.55pm to celebrate my Birthday. Another Birthday Song! My tears were on the verge of felling down la. So touched. And and and the feeling of opening a bottle of Champagne was super shiok la. We drank and drank and drank. Later we played soccer and badminton and wrestling. We sons of healthy and fit and macho and strong and muscular guys.
I cooked Maggie Mee for them to eat because we were lazy to go elsewhere to eat. We were all exhausted by that time. Brandon told me that the noodles tasted too bland. I'm really sorry Brandon, because I cannot cook as well as her. I couldn't eat because I'm a vegetarian that day and there were scallops in the noodles. Sian na. I couldn't taste the cooking of a great cook. I think that must be the reason why the soup tasted bland, because I couldn't estimate the flavour well.
After that, we watched television for a while and listened to the music. I told some ghost stories to them. Then we fall asleep. Sorry, except for Brandon who surfed the net for God-knows-what websites.
When we woke up, Hui Jue told us that he needed to go off first. So he went off early. Sorry.
We rested for a while. Then Brandon had to make a call. He talked quite softly that Weida and I were able to hear it clearly from the living-room. He was in the room by the way.
After that, we went to eat. Weida treated me the peanut pancake. Thanks a lot, kind Weida. We were so full that we decided to go to the playgrounds around there. I found out that everyone had childhood memories there. Brandon was a very brave person and was frightened by Weida in broad daylight.
We went to Parkway Parade because Brandon wanted to buy a Birthday Present for one of his friends. Her Birthday is one day later than mine. Sorry Brandon. Brandon couldn't find the suitable present for her. And we decided to go to MPH for some serious reading of magazines about health issues. Weida went home after that halfway through.
Brandon and I went to the Popular for a while before heading home.
Lastly, I really really like to thank everyone in this whole wide universe. Because it's really the two happiest days of my life.
Special and infinitely infinite thanks to my Grandpas, Grandmas, Daddy, my Mummy, my Sister, my Uncles, my Aunties, Brandon Chua Wei Wen, Goh Weida, Tay Hui Jue, Zhang Wen Kai, Ang Li Fang, Ang Jian Xiong, Candy Hao Yun, Chian Siew Fong, Debbie Poh Man Ting, Emily Wong Min Jie, Fan Jia Xin, Hanafi, Hay Chew Hua, Huang Shu Qi, Husna, Jacelyn, Jarryl Tay Jun Yuan, Jazreel, Joshua Lai Sihua, June Tang Qian Jun, Lau Ai Hui, Lim Si Min, Lim Sim Yee, Low Kim Bert, Mavis Ho Xue Feng, Mr. Ronald Sathianathan, Ng Sing Ying, Rayz Ng Jia Wei, See Pei Jing, See Rui Zuan, Soh Yan Ni, Tam Jun Hui, Tan Wan Lian, Tan Yan Qi, Tong Ri and Vanessa Chng Xian Na for wishing me Happy Birthday and everything!!! Because I really appreciate everything.
